Janet Lewis, UBUNTU
“As one of the Organisers (for performances) of the UBUNTU Youth Peace event I asked Mark Prince to be one the Speakers at the event. I found working with the Kiyan Prince Foundation to be straightforward and a success. Also all communication with Ellen (PA) was very helpful, clear and concise.
On the day of the event I found Mark Prince to be not only inspirational but also innovative where he jointly worked with another speaker (unplanned) to deliver a very powerful and relevant message to the young people.
One other observation was that because Mark Prince kindly came to the event early he was able to tie into his presentation/speech examples of some of what he saw of the performances by the young people. This allowed him to really connect with they young people and remind parents/older people of how life may be for young people and address important issues. From what I saw of Mark’s presentation, I think Mark has the ability to completely connect with people from many angles and walks of life – Mark made himself available for all the people at the event to talk to him after his presentation, he especially made time to speak to the young people.
Thank You!

Mark Prince helped me to gain realisation about the reality of the world we live in today and I’m not the most well behaved student, but Mark had an effect on the way I think and has helped me better myself as a person academically as well as the way I act outside of school.
The day Mark came to our school I thought he was gonna be a man who was going on about things that was irrelevant and was not gonna affect. But I listened and what Mark said instantly made me think about myself and the way I treat people and made me want to have a more positive wayof thinking. He’s a good man, and he’s actually a role model to me and he should be compared to the other great leaders like Martin Luther King and others, as he is helping better our society and improve the way as us as young teenagers think. He’s a good spokesmen and he impacted they way I thought not just because he had lost a loved one, but because of the way he addressed the matter by taking this moment of tragedy in his life and changing it into something positive. Most people would of retaliated in a negative way but Mark took this tragedy and is now looking to improve deprived kids lives and make them think with a positive attitude. Mark Prince is a man who should get a lot more respect and should be compared to other great black leaders.
